That is why every year we are inspired by the latest Pantone trend colours and use them to create a design that is just as creative and crazy as our employees. After all, those at Wever & Ducré come from all over the world and work together to make our planet a little more beautiful. Why do we, years later, still remember a romantic walk in the rain? Because our emotions are strongly linked to our senses and the fresh scent of wet grass always takes us back. It gives us a comforting, warm feeling of security that we associate with natural scents. That is why early on, people began to capture the beguiling scents of flowers, fruits, or woods in fine perfumes to bring nature’s aromas into their homes.

This thought has inspired us to craft a whole new creation: The exclusive room fragrance "DEAR WORLD", which we developed together with master perfumers. Its warm, powdery, leathery scent lends rooms a very special atmosphere and immediately makes us feel safe and secure. A bit like our new lights, which set the mood with elegant designs and refined accents.

Delicate and fragile, like a butterfly’s wings, warm and rough, like a tree’s bark, or smooth and cool, like a pebble on a riverbank – everything in nature has its very own haptics, which significantly impacts the perception of our surroundings. Because whether we perceive people, animals, or objects as likeable is not only determined by their appearance. Our sense of smell and especially our sense of touch also have a significant say.

Of course, this also applies to products such as furniture, fabrics, or lights where the choice of material plays an important role. Is it light or heavy, smooth or structured, warm or rather cool? All this is taken into account by designers right from the first draft. As in the case of our new Finlin family, which was deliberately made of fine aluminium tubes. This makes this ultra-light light float in space like a modern sculpture.
