THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

The most important consideration is for a hotel corridor to be both inviting and safe. After all, both guests and hotel staff have to find their way around it easily. A combination of functional light that can be flexibly adapted to the respective requirements and atmospheric, warm illumination is therefore ideal. What is the best way to do this? With all-rounders like DEEPMILESTHEMIS, or BOX and decorative eye-catchers like the dazzling MIRRO.

Don't panic!

You may have seen too many horror films if you feel uncomfortable in a hotel corridor. Or you have found one that is completely mislit. If it is due to the lighting, this problem – one speaks of a “tunnel effect” – can be eliminated with a few simple tricks.

WHERE AM I?
The corridor can be structured with lighting accents to make orientation easier for guests and to guide them quickly and safely to their rooms. This creates an even rhythm that significantly reduces the tunnel effect.

SAFETY FIRST
When planning lighting in corridors, certain standards and safety guidelines must be observed and emergency exits must be clearly indicated. The same applies to functional areas, such as staff workspaces. Make sure you are on top of this.

MIX AND MATCH
Particularly beautiful effects can be achieved with a combination of recessed and wall luminaires. They can be used to set decorative highlights and emphasise individual objects.

„A hotel corridor and its illumination helps guests orientate themselves and guides them to their rooms. The lighting concept should be both functional and decorative. This always requires a bespoke lighting solution tailored to the building in question, as strict safety lighting requirements must also be met.“
